Privacy Policy

What this website collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. The short version: only what you type into a form, used only to reply to you.

1Who we are

Pindot LLC ("Pindot", "we", "us") runs this website and is the controller of the personal data collected through it. Our registered address is 5830 E 2nd St, Ste 7000 #36661, Casper, WY 82609, USA.

You can reach us about privacy at info@pindot.ai, or through the contact form on this website.

2What this policy covers

This policy covers this website and the forms on it.

It does not cover the Pindot software itself. Pindot is installed and run inside our customers' own infrastructure, and we do not receive the logs, records, questions or answers it processes. How that data is handled is set out in the agreement between Pindot and each customer.

3What we collect

Information you give us. When you request a demo we ask for your name, work email, company, job title, team size, how you would run Pindot, and anything you choose to tell us about what you'd like to see. When you contact us we ask for your name, email, optionally your company, a topic and your message.

Information collected when you visit. Like any website, ours is served by a hosting provider that processes technical information needed to deliver pages to you, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of each request, and may keep it in server logs for a short period for security and reliability.

What we do not collect. This website uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. What it stores on your device, and the one optional third-party service it can load, are set out under Cookies and local storage below.

4Cookies and local storage

This website sets no cookies of its own. It keeps two small entries in your browser's local storage, which never leave your device:

  • pindot-consent: the cookie choices you make in our banner or under Cookie settings, so we do not ask again. Kept for 12 months, after which we ask again.
  • pindot-theme: your light or dark theme, only if you pick one. Kept until you clear it.

These are strictly necessary for features you ask for, so they do not need your consent.

Embedded media (optional). The overview video is hosted on YouTube, which is run by Google, and plays in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). Nothing is loaded from YouTube unless you allow embedded media or choose to play the video once. Once the player loads, Google receives your IP address and information about your browser, and may store cookies or similar data on your device. Google decides how it uses that data, under its own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

You can also watch the video on youtube.com instead, through the link shown in place of the player.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through Cookie settings, in the Legal links at the foot of every page. Withdrawing it stops the player loading from then on. It does not remove what Google has already stored; to do that, clear your browser's cookies and site data for YouTube and Google.

5How we use it, and why we are allowed to

  • To reply to your request or message, and to arrange and run a demo. We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries, and, where you are asking about becoming a customer, on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
  • To keep the forms working and free of abuse. To stop repeated submissions, your IP address is held in memory for up to ten minutes when you submit a form. It is not stored or forwarded. We rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure.
  • To play the overview video from YouTube, only if you allow it. We rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time through Cookie settings.
  • To meet legal obligations, where the law requires us to keep or disclose information.

We do not sell your personal data, use it for automated decision-making, or add you to a marketing list without asking.

6Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers who process it on our instructions: the company that hosts this website, and the tool we use to receive form submissions. They may not use it for their own purposes.

If you allow embedded media, your browser connects to Google (YouTube) directly to play the overview video. Google is not our service provider: it receives that data as an independent company, under its own privacy policy, and may process it outside your country.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

7International transfers

Some of our service providers may process data outside your country. Where they do, we rely on an adequacy decision or on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses to protect it.

8How long we keep it

We keep form submissions for as long as we need them to respond to you and follow up on the conversation, and for no longer than 24 months after our last contact with you, unless you become a customer or the law requires us to keep them longer. Then we delete them.

9Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • ask us to correct it or delete it
  • object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it
  • ask for it in a portable format
  • withdraw any consent you have given, at any time

To use any of these, contact us at info@pindot.ai. We will reply within the time the law requires. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.

10Security

Form submissions travel over encrypted connections, and we limit who can see them to the people who need to reply. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect what you send us.

11Children

This website is for businesses and is not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

12Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update it here and change the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will make that clear on this page.
